Civik People is a non-profit social enterprise that helps refugees and humanitarian entrants secure sustainable employment with great employers.
Our approach is two-fold:
We provide new Australians with the support and training they need to adjust to the Australian workplace and reach their career goals.

We deliver customised recruitment and workforce support services to employers, giving them greater access to diverse talent, better retention rates and increased productivity.

We work with some of Australia’s leading businesses and brands, including Toyota, Accor Hotels and Ventia, making it easy for them to build more diverse and inclusive workplaces.

We provide you with insights and advice on how best to support refugees to best succeed in the workplace.
Together we put together a recruitment and retention plan that best meets the needs of your business.

Source and screen
We promote your business to our community networks, tapping into sources of talent otherwise inaccessible to mainstream employers and recruiters.
We work one-on-one with job seekers to identify their strengths, barriers, and aspirations, while assessing their suitability for a role in your business.
We coach, support and mentor job seekers through resume building, job applications and the interview process.

Support to ensure success
We provide wrap-around-support to selected candidates through onboarding processes, including medical, police and work rights checks, inductions and set up on your HRIS.
We continue to support new employees as they settle into their new jobs and are on-hand to celebrate wins and work through any teething issues should they arise.
Our support extends to operational and human resources team members through the initial first 6 months of employment.

We’re here to support you every step of the way

We meet with you to get an understanding of your skills and the work you like doing. We’re also keen to learn about any other preferences you might have e.g. flexible working arrangements, family commitments etc that may impact the type of work you can do.

Once we know the type of work you are looking for, we help you find the right type of job and guide you with applications and interviews. We also connect you to other service providers who can help with any upskilling or language support you may need.

Once you have been offered a job you are happy with, we help get you ready and set up for work, including getting your payroll details in order, working out your best travel routes to and from work. We’re on hand to help resolve any questions you might have.

Our support doesn’t stop once you’re in a job. We’re just a phone call away should you need any further support.
