Civik People is a non-profit social enterprise that helps refugees and humanitarian entrants secure sustainable employment with great employers.

Our approach is two-fold:

We provide new Australians with the support and training they need to adjust to the Australian workplace and reach their career goals.

We deliver customised recruitment and workforce management services to large employers, giving them greater access to diverse talent, better retention rates and increased productivity.

We work with some of Australia’s leading businesses and brands, including Toyota, Accor Hotels and Ventia, making it easy for them to build more diverse and inclusive workplaces.

We help you find the right people

— FOR EMPLOYERS —

We offer tailored recruitment and retention services, based on your needs.

  • Direct placements

    • We tap into sources of talent otherwise inaccessible to mainstream employers and recruiters.

    • We don’t charge an upfront placement fee. Our fee kicks in when a mutually agreed employment milestone is reached.

    • We provide ongoing wrap-around support to the individual while they’re working for you.

  • Labour hire

    • We’re a compliant and licensed labour hire service provider, offering flexible workforce solutions.

    • Our approach allows host employers the ability to trial staff to ensure it’s a good fit for both the individual and employer.

    • We see many jobseekers transition to direct employment. When this happens, there is no extra cost to you.

  • Integrated partnerships

    • We tailor our approach to your needs.

    • We’re proud to partner with leading employers and recruitment agencies who offer sustainable employment opportunities at scale.

    • Our People & Pathways Coordinator becomes a member of your team to help drive strong and inclusive recruitment and retention outcomes.

— FOR JOBSEEKERS

We’re here to support you every step of the way

  • We meet with you to get an understanding of your skills and the work you like doing. We’re also keen to learn about any other preferences you might have e.g. flexible working arrangements, family commitments etc that may impact the type of work you can do.

  • Once we know the type of work you are looking for, we help you find the right type of job and guide you with applications and interviews. We also connect you to other service providers who can help with any upskilling or language support you may need.

  • Once you have been offered a job you are happy with, we help get you ready and set up for work, including getting your payroll details in order, working out your best travel routes to and from work. We’re on hand to help resolve any questions you might have.

  • Our support doesn’t stop once you’re in a job. We’re just a phone call away should you need any further support.
