Civik and Ventia celebrate ACOMM Award win
The partnership between Ventia and Civik has won the 2024 ACOMM Award for Diversity and Inclusion.
The annual ACOMM Awards, presented by the Communications Alliance, celebrate excellence in Australia’s telecommunications sector.
This prestigious award highlights our joint commitment to create job opportunities for young people who have faced barriers to work.
Through our partnership we have helped a diverse group of young people, setting them on the course to pursue careers in infrastructure services.
Civik General Manager Dominiqe Bird said the team is grateful for the recognition.
“It’s truly amazing to see the partnership between Civik and Ventia being recognised in this way,” he said.
“It has been an incredible team effort to get to this point. We are hugely grateful to Ventia for backing us.
“It shows what’s possible when corporates and social enterprise work together to find innovative solutions to industry challenges.”
Communications Alliance CEO, John Stanton said excellence in innovation was “a pervasive trait in the achievements of the 2024 ACOMM winners”.
“The ACOMM Awards represent the pinnacle of achievement for the Australian communications industry, and I congratulate all the winners and finalists in the 2024 ACOMMS,” he said.
The winners were announced on Thursday 19 July at the 18th Annual ACOMM Awards Dinner in Sydney.
The evening’s keynote address was delivered by the Federal Minister for Communications, The Hon. Michelle Rowland MP.
